Essential Questions :
What can we do with leaves once they've fallen off the trees?
Estimated Time Required :
30 - 60 Minutes
Materials :
• Fallen Leaves
• Crayons
• Paper
• Scissors
• Construction Paper (optional)
• Glue (Optional)
• Glitter (optional)
Directions :
1. Have participants collect fallen leaves. Try to find leaves that are mostly still in tact
2. Lay the leaves on a flat surface and cover them with white paper
• Make sure that the leaves are dry!
3. Using a crayon, color over the white paper. The crayon will color darker over the leaves.
• You can use the handout that goes with this activity plan!
4. Using the scissors, you can cut away some of the extra paper.
5. Feel free to layer your white paper over some colorful or fall themed construction paper!
6. Decorate you leaf however you want!
7. Enjoy your creation!
Hint:
• This works better in the early fall when the leaves have just fallen from the trees.
